My teaching style is supportive, flexible, and interactive. In class, just like in life, unexpected things can happen. As a result, I have to be able to adapt my lessons to fit the unexpected and use all time to my advantage. Every moment is a teaching moment, which allows me the opportunity to help my students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Each student is unique which means their learning styles are all different. To reach all students, I have to use a variety of approaches and activities. I love to use groups to allow students to explore, discuss, and explain. We are all learners and teachers, which means through sharing a struggling learner may understand a concept through the eyes of a peer. Students are encouraged to openly discuss and ask questions. Hands-on activities, movement, and colorful materials are also ways I try to increase student engagement. I try to instill confidence and stamina in my students so when they are faced with a tough problem they do not give up.
